Jinx talk follows blaze
Here goes an Inquirer story that touches on what many of the residents feel.
Where’s the Daily News on this?
Anyway, the place is cursed man. Cursed.
Anyone else out there rent from Scully or at the Village Green?
Fire (Again!) at my apartment complex
We were woken up to the sound of firemen stopping a fire in our apartment complex.
The second fire in two years. Last year six people died due to a fire related to flooding.
Luckily no one died this time around. It must be haunted.
Can’t wait to finish moving.
Allen Iverson news is rediculous
philly.com complete coverage. Philadelphia is all abuzz. TV stations all over his house. It’s rediculous. And now, by basically house arresting him till Tuesday the buzz is simply going to turn into a media frenzy.
It’s simply crazy.
If it’s true – how friggin’ stupid can he be to be walking around with a gun?!?! On the other hand… if it’s not – the media will have a whole lot of apoligizing to do.
Settlement happens today
It’s a done deal. At 2PM today we will become home owners.
Happy July4th!
On a private e-mail list, I’m taking part in a very timely discussion on the Pledge of Allegience.
Fact is that we look at freedom in so many different ways. Many of us were satisfied with the ruling, and others outraged. A debate ensued. Tempers flared.
But at the core of it – man you gotta hand it to the founders of this country. They built a system of *ideals* and generations have come and gone that have re-interpetted and faught for those ideals. Blood, sweat and tears.
Happy July 4th everybody. Celebrate the freedom we’re blessed with today. Celebrate for those that sacrificed to get us here. Celebrate to stick it up the terrorists’ noses.
Smoking Looks Even Worse
NYTimes op-ed that explains that smoking is even worst then already thought. I hope they raise the cig taxes here in PA.
S.U.V.’s: That’s S for Status, V for Vanity
Great letter to the NYTimes on the pure egotisim that drives SUV ownership.
Let me throw in another charge – people who drive these monsters are unpatriotic. You increase our reliance on foreign oil.
You want to help this country and have an offroader – buy a Jeep Wrangler. You carting around kids? Buy a mini-van or 4-wheel drive wagon.
If you don’t need the friggin’ capacity – then don’t drive the things.

A Child Called “It”
Reading A Child Called “It” has simply blown me away. I highly recommend the book. It made me angry, sad, and inspired. A powerful read.
