Applicable to Hillary Clinton

While I haven’t figured out who is my favorite historical figure, Antonella’s tagging of me seems especially relevant in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s run for the Presidency.

Make sure to read it if you haven’t: “Well-behaved women seldom make history”.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that while she did some self-inflicted damage to her own campaign, and her knocks to Obama made her seem hypocritical, much of the news media, in retrospect, was biased, and its behavior towards her couldn’t be considered anything else then sexist.

I hope history recognizes her as someone who broke down barriers for those that will follow.

  1. The media’s treatment of her was SO sexist it was ridiculous. Of course, that went hand-in-hand with their FAWNING over Obama.
Hillary should seriously consider a run as Independent. Lieberman just successfully did the same thing! Hillary’s husband won twice with only about 43% of the vote. Of the three candidates, she’s the best. She KNOWS, along with everyone else, that she could wallop McCain. Obama vs. McCain is too close to call. This might be the one time it’d be worth splitting the vote because their supporters are of such discrete demographics.
Hillary, take it to the floor, and worst case, run as an Independent and make MORE history.
    HILLARY 2008!

  2. I don’t know that Hillary should go independent – I’m hoping to see her a judge someday.

What I’m very afraid of, however, is that the folks who are obsessed with Obama (I am a supporter) don’t realize just how close this will be.
