I’ve had the domain back for one year. Googlebot has not come to index the site. After exhausting all other reasons I suspect that Google banned phillyfuture.org from it’s index. Remember – the preceeding year a porn company had it and was using it for redirection.
If anyone out there can help me – please – please do.
Karl, sorry to hear of your distress.
But it don’t look good. Check this link out for more info on those that get banned.

You might wanna send an email over to their tech dept and explain your situation, maybe they’ll make an exception for you if you explain your story.
Let me know if I can help any further.
Peace…

Thanks. Unfortunately I’ve done all that already. I get automated responses that tell me if I’ve followed guidelines, to sit tight and all will be ok.
Hi Karl,
How about applying for an AdSense account? I use AdSense on my blog, and they have always responded personally to my questions when I have asked about policies…
another idea, Karl: post a message on Jeff Jarvis’ site. He writes “Below, I ask you to list questionable/wacky/offensive sites included in GoogleNews. Here, I ask you to nominate sites that are not included but should be. Please leave comments on this post.”

Good ideas as always Matt. I’m now working on both counts. We’ll see how it goes.
And Shelley, if you’re reading, thank you for this:

You rock 🙂
Yahoo! is very nice to Philly Future. I think its become a major source of new visitors. This thing with Google is nuts. There *has* to be a solution.
