The absolute worst place to spend your time on the web is in someone else’s comments threads having an argument. What a waste of effort. Far too often people argue just to win. I have a hard time dealing with that. I have a hard time dealing with people that just want to win at any cost. I know, I know, it’s life. People’s pride is in the way. Dave would say it’s human nature. But there is a part of me that holds on to a belief that people are better than that.
I need to swear it off once and for all. The time I spend trying to argue is time better spent elsewhere.
Sounds like you had one of those wars I faught before the election and slightly afterwards.
I kinda enjoyed the wars I’ve had. It taught me some lessons about humanity and technology.
The first lesson it taught me was that some people you’ll never convince. Even when you see how blunt headed, negative, and narrow someone is, you’ll never change them. Just take your swings and move on.
This tends to irrate them more than you realize.
I’ve literally had wars drag on for weeks. I had my own soundtrack made up for each time I sounded the charge.
Minus the little spat I had with Karl the other wars were fun; btw Karl I was only teasing you on the CC thing.
I also learned alot about proxy’s along the way.
The part that probably bothers you Karl is that you try to take the high road and tell someone to look outside the box. When they refuse to even attempt to open their minds, it bugs you, because you fail to understand why they won’t even try to see the high road or any of the stops along the way.
In the end, take it with a grain of salt bro.
It’s only zereos and ones.
