The Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) examination has recently been updated for J2SE 1.4, which means you’ll have to jump through some new hoops to get a passing score.   1. I have the Sun Certified JP and I still get asked to take bench tests. I’m sure not going to waste my money on an upgrade when the consulting companies don’t pay attention to the certification.

  2. You have a point there Shelley. It’s simply a matter for my own personal satisfaction. That test was a real effort in memorization. I know from experience that matters little in the real world. But it’s good to keep it handy.
