I can't say that I was there, because I wasn't, that is not in person. But after I saw what really happened, I was there in tears, mind, and heart. It's tragic thing, what people do. Just to get back at one person, or one place. We can't and we shouldn't take life granted, it comes once in a life time, and sometimes you never get a second chance at life. Who could ever think to do something so mean so horrible, so harsh. We are taking about our lives, our brothers and sisters. There is a cong, called Angles waiting. It's a country song, the singer, lost her brothers to a disease. The song reminds me of our brothers and sisters that we lost to this horrible act. My heart is confuseed and so is my mind. I want to say make the terriost suffer, but then I say what about all the people that didn't know or can't do anything. We have pulled together wonderfully, and I know that if we had to do it again we could, but let's hope we won't have to. I send my prays to all of famlies and everyone that is helping and cleaning up. I know that God knows what he is doing, and he has us in his hands and tries not to hurt us, but sometimes it just isn't his doing God bless America, God bless everyone, and God bless you to David for getting these pictures.

I read an article today from a paper called The Guardian and attributed to Seamus Milne. Its vehemence shocked and saddened me. With all due respect to Mr. Milne's opinion, this unbelievable collection of world-wide expressions of sympathy and grief seems to this American a much more accurate - and overwhelmingly heart-felt - accounting of the world view of the United States. Thank you, every one of you, everywhere, for your kindness, your sympathy, and your compassion. What affects one, affects all.

After being in shock for several days and feeling entirely numb from this entire experience, feeling (hoping) like maybe it didn't really happen, there are certain images that start to break through and cause me to break into tears. Seeing pictures of those lost or still missing are some, hearing personal accounts of those lost are others, and seeing pictures of those all around the world who are grieving with us are also quite touching. These images almost wipe out the few I've seen where some individuals are shown hating America and wanting to war with us. How anyone could hate a country enough to kill all these innocent people is beyond me. I am very pleased and reassured to see that the world is (for the most part) united with us, and I hope that we can grow and become stronger as a global community, united against terrorism by having gone through this. my love and hugs to everyone out there.

Thank you for creating a living memorial to this tragic event. It is beautiful and touching to see soldarity and support from around the world. I hope we all continue to grieve the losses and horror of these terrorist actions. I also hope that the world community, with the USA in leadership, shows the maturity and restraint to respond in a manner which does not increase the cycle of violence. As an American, I am afraid that an aggressive and destructive attack on others who are guilty by association will start a cycle of violence that will end in greater and greater loss of human life around the world. I think it is important for us as a country to look what role we have played in the the world order and seek to understand why we have engender such hatred by others. My prayer is that all of humanity finds a way to live in peace, harmony, and justice.

Thank you for all of your prayers and condolences. This is a tragedy that should have never happened anywhere in the world. Who would have thought that something like this could happen here in the USA. We are not only citizens of various countries, tied to individual borders, but are most importantly citizens of the world. As world citizens, its time for all of us to stand and be counted. For surely, if such a malicious act could occur here in the states then who is truly safe? Its time to put an end to world terrorism, who has no respect for the guilty, the innocent, man, women, child, or religion. We must join together and fight this unseen enemy. Not necessary by armed conflict (but be prepared to do so if required)but by all means available to each and everyone of us. I'd like to thank the world from the bottom of my heart for such outpourings of love and good will. In the past, we Americans have had to suffer all of our tradegy's alone and alone we did. We'll again bounce back, and things will get back to almost the way they were. We Americans will never look at things quite the same way again. We won't take things for granted again. We've been awakened--and we won't go back to sleep!

Catastrophic events like these and these incredibly poignant and powerful pictures remind me that we are not alone as a people or as a nation in the on-going and seemingly endless struggle of good versus evil. We may never comprehend or be able to fully understand the reasons why tragedies like this occur. I am confident that history will prove that the lives of those who perished in this disaster were taken to serve a higher, more noble purpose. I do not fear the future because I have found that when fear knocks on my door, my faith will answer and no one will be there.
